Read With Robin

Listen while a child reads, and keep the story moving.

Read With Robin bridges a reading experience with native speech listening. As the child reads aloud, the service matches spoken words to the text, including common homophones (witch / which, knight / night, sea / see) so a correct word said the ‘other’ way does not stall the page.

The iOS side injects a JavaScript bridge into a WebView, matching the Android speech-listener contract so the same reading product can sit on both platforms.

In the product

  • On-device speech recognition
  • Homophone / alias matching
  • WebView bridge shared with the Android listener
  • Start, stop, and event callbacks into the reading UI

What it proves

  • Reading practice that does not punish a child for a homophone
  • The same listener contract on iOS and Android
